BIOGRAPHY



Barbi Jay a.k.a Buyinza Julius  Was Born in 1989 at Lubiri Emengo By one Namala Ruth and Joel Birinyagwa (late UPDF soldier) A Mubwisi by tribe.

He is still single, a born again Christian, holding a bachelor's degree in public relations and media management from Cavendish International university Uganda.
Barbi Jay grew up in different UPDF military barracks. Like Mbuya barracks, Mukono satellite barracks, Kakiri barracks. Completed my Primary seven at Gobero Baptist primary school, O. level at crested ss and Word worthy ss Makindye.  A. level at Royal College Makindye and Nakivubo blue.

The Self styled Artist and producer started his music journey as a keyboard player in church, and then  he became a self made music producer. In 2011  He joined a famous artist Aziz Azion and worked as audio producer in his Studio called STUDIO84 (WESTEND ENT)

As an artistBarbi Jay started in 2012 with a collaboration track with Aziz Azion CHOCOLATE GIRL. Which was his break through as well.
......following  were  songs  like  Tobawulila , Nyange  ft  T-BRO,  Kikikye  wankola, Ondikubilowozo, Which didn't work out very well.... Next was amega hit Sumbuusa ft Eddy Kenzo. Which was also followed by another mega hits like Tombuuza, Wire, Sexy eyes ft Fidempa, Omukyala ye number emu, Loudspeaker, Emergency ft Iry Tina, Leero. Talina shida ft Eddy Kenzo, Emilina, Bwerere, Muliwa Abadigize ft Mr Mosh, Beautiful baby, Zavugidewa, Kasita ompanawana, Malaika, and the latest TULABA KUKI.

As a producer, He owns a big recording studio Reverb studio. And he has produced for many big artists and many big songs eg.
All his songs, Aziz Azion’s Oxygen was produced and written by Barbi Jay. Beranange by Aziz Azion. Baliwa by Aziz Azion. (Nice and lovely, Obamuyaye, Tonkoya, by Eddy Kenzo) Muchuzi and Katono tono by Rema. Traffic man by GiftovKaddo.

Barbi Jay has been Nominated in very many a wards like Hipipo music awards, Zzina awards, etc
 Since 2012 has done three albums the fast Was Tombuuza Which he launched and the mass turn broke records, followed by Emilina album and Nambi album
